Folklore : Batu Gong

For this folklore assignment we were asked to choose 5 peoples in a group.  So this my group members:
Phyllis Nanak
Mohd Salehhuddin
Roslan Gajir
Zulfazlin Mahmud
Jeryl leigh (myself)
We decided to do a folklore story on Batu gong.
Some village kids like to bathe in this river.  Then one day, the adults found that the kids playing with the boulder by hitting it with stone, to produce Gong-like sound.  they were so amazed by these magic rocks, so they relocated them to his house for everyone to see.  it is located at Kampung Solibog, Tambunan district.

The batu gong itself has many different sounds and previously, there is a group of local sabah had play this batu gong and make it sound like the normal musical gong.

Love Language

Miss Freda has shown us a video on Love Language by the Jubilee Project.  The video started when a guy was sitting on a bench while reading a newspaper.   He wanted to borrow a pen from a girl sitting next to him who is wearing an ear phone.  Basically, it is love at first sight.  The guy was curious wanted to know what was she listening to.  He then asked her if he can listen to she was listening to but she was embarrassed.  He wanted to talk to her but he wouldn’t want to bother her, so he try to communicate with her through a note pad.  They started to see each other often at the same place.  One day, she decided to let the guy listen to the ‘song’ she was listening to. The guy was excited but then he confused.  He heard nothing.  She move her hand and that moment he realize that she was deaf.  Then he wrote on his note pad saying that she’s still beautiful.  I think this video touched every single of people who watched it.  It makes us realize that every human being has the right to love and been loved.  This people deserve to live as a normal being and treated equally as we treat normal being.  I think we should appreciate them for who they are, because they are amazing just the way they are, God creation.
